Books with Bex: 2024 Reading Goals

Our Marketing and Outreach Associate, Rebecca Boudreau, periodically writes a blog for us highlighting her reading.

Well, it is the end of the year, and as you may recall, I had set myself a goal to read 50 books, and listed 25 of those books from my To-Be-Read list in a previous blog post (found here!).

At the time, my To-Be-Read list on Goodreads was 378 books long. After reading 51 books this year, the number of books I want to read is now…. 444…huh. I’m no math genius but that doesn’t seem right, I didn’t even make a dent, haha! The struggles of being surrounded by books every day, there’s always something new you want to read!

Unfortunately, I did not finish all of the books I said I would read, finding myself drawn to a few extra non-fiction audiobooks and a few new thrillers I just couldn’t resist. So, I’ll carry those into next year’s goals and see how far I get! I have a few dense books on my list for this coming year but I am still aiming to read 50 books in total. One of my resolutions this year is to read before bed every night, which could be a great way to wind down, or a great way to stay up until WAY too late trying to finish just one more chapter, I guess we will find out!

Some of the books I want to get to this year are:
