There are many ways you can support and get involved at the Topsfield Town Library!
Join the Friends of the Topsfield Town Library
The Friends of the Topsfield Town Library, a 501(c)3 charity, are an active and dynamic group of people, young and old, open to residents and non-residents alike, committed to supporting the mission of the Topsfield Town Library. The Friends sponsor vital library programs like museum passes, book sales, speaker series, and more!
Volunteer/Community Service
Consider donating your time to volunteering at the Topsfield Town Library! We rely on our volunteers to help us provide the best service possible to the Topsfield community. Our dedicated volunteers perform necessary tasks like shelving materials, book repair, processing of library materials, preparing craft projects, and more!
If you are interested in completing your community service at the library, please fill out a Community Service application and email/return to Sean Smith, the Head of Adult Services.
Board of Trustees of the Topsfield Town Library
The Board of Trustees of the Topsfield Town Library are an elected board of six members who are tasked with the management of the library, including choosing a library director, determining library policies, adoption of the library budget, community outreach, and more. Visit our page to learn more about the Board of Trustees, and read previous meeting minutes.
Book Donations
The library can only accept donations in the weeks preceding our book sale, sponsored by the Friends of the Topsfield Town Library. Book Sales take place once in the fall and once in June, during the week of the Strawberry Festival.
The library can only accept donations in good condition. We cannot accept books that are ripped, stained, moldy/mildewed, missing pages, or heavily highlighted.
Please note: The library does not accept textbooks, encyclopedias, VHS tapes, or audio cassettes.
