Throughout the summer,  we will share some of the anonymous reviews we have received each week. Looking for a great book to read next? Don’t miss out on this blog series, and find out what your neighbors have been reading and loving (or hating)! While you’re at it, make sure to sign up for our Summer Reading Challenge for a chance to win some awesome prizes!

One Golden Summer by Carley Fortune

“This book was phenomenal. The banter was amazing. The characters were so relatable and enjoyable. Highly recommend if you are looking for a beach read with a little bit of depth.”

Heartwood by Amity Gaige

“Well written. Adults of all ages will enjoy. Suspenseful without being scary creepy.”

The Last Bookstore on Earth by Lily Braun-Arnold

“I loved how this book captures the pure innocence of being independent for the first time albeit it being during/after the apocalypse so it did strike a bit differently.”

The Writer by James Patterson & J.D. Barker

“The Writer (by James Patterson and J. D. Barker) is a clever mystery that will have you turning the pages until the very end- with the reward of a “I didn’t see that coming!” amazing twist! As always James Patterson and his co-writer(s) deliver a beach-ready fun thriller to enjoy!”

“Interesting peeks into life and work among the fabulously wealthy entrepreneurs of Facebook. It is a collection of vignettes some of which are personal to her life which she doesn’t follow through on. For example: did her husband get his green card renewed? Still it is a good exposure of the fallacies of capitalism – that the top level cares about anything except their egos and making more money.”

“This author grew up in Danvers. Set in Vietnam the characters weave in and out from French colonial days through the American occupation to independence. The author is also a poet and the writing is beautiful. A treasure of a book- I felt like I was dreaming.”
