On Wednesday, September 20, 2023 we were lucky to host local author Doreen Burliss at the Topsfield Town Library! Doreen is the author of two novels, We’ll Always Have Nantucket (published 2022) and That Nantucket Summer (published July 2023).
Those who have been part of the Topsfield and Tri-Town communities for a while may recognize Doreen’s name, as she was formerly a columnist for the Tri-Town Transcript, as well.
If you did not attend, well, you missed out! Doreen was one of the most engaging speakers/authors we’ve ever had the pleasure to host! Doreen’s candor about the difficulties of finding a “niche” while writing, getting published, and finding inspiration from real life made for a engaging and exciting evening.
