The Friends of the Topsfield Town Library are an active and dynamic group of people, young and old, open to residents and non-residents alike, committed to supporting the mission of the Topsfield Town Library.
The Friends of the Topsfield Town Library strive to stimulate the interest of the community in the needs and services of the Topsfield Town Library, promote awareness of the wonderful services and resources the Library has to offer, and to enrich the cultural life of the community by providing financial support and volunteer assistance beyond the Library’s ordinary budget for ongoing special events and activities, as well as provide the majority of the subsidized museum passes available through the Library. Join the Friends by filling out a membership form and mailing it to the library, or dropping it off at the main desk with your membership dues paid by cash or check (checks may be made out to the Friends of the Topsfield Library).

The Friends typically meet on the second Wednesday of each month. Please check our online calendar for the meeting schedule as it may vary in time and location. Contributing your time and ideas is a great way to get involved with the community. Attend one of the meetings and see what the Friends are all about. New ideas and faces are always welcome!
Friends Activities
Museum Passes
The Friends of the Topsfield Town Library fund a majority of the discounted museum passes available to our Library’s visitors.
Book Sales
The Friends sponsor periodic book sales, which proceeds help fund library programs!
Special Events
The Friends help fund special events held in the library, including author talks, and activities for Children and Adults, including the kickoff to the Summer Reading Program.
Fish Tank
The Friends sponsor our Fish Tank and its maintenance in the Children’s Room!
Community Holiday Events
The Friends are proud to sponsor community holiday events, including gingerbread house decorating!
Scholarship
The Friends of the Topsfield Town Library award a scholarship each year to a senior art student at Masconomet Regional High School.
