Topsfield’s Response to the Coronavirus

Update: 5/15/2020

Dear Patrons,

I understand everyone is anxious to get back to the library and we’re excited to have you back as well. We are busy making plans to re-open that will be based on Governor Baker’s phased re-opening guidance, the town’s Board of Health recommendations  and the town’s overall re-opening strategy.  As soon as our plans have been approved, we will let you know when we will start taking returns and beginning curbside service.

Stay well!
Laura Zalewski, Library Director

Update: 4/23/2020

Due to an abundance of caution related to COVID-19, the Topsfield Town Library will be closed to the public until further notice.

Limited staff will still be available by phone (978.887.1528) or email  (ask@topsfieldlibrary.org).  If no one answers the phone, please leave a voice mail message. Some one will get back to you!

The book drop is closed. The library has worked with the Merrimack Valley Library Consortium to extend due dates so that nothing will be overdue during our closed period.

An update on inter-library loan delivery service states that as of 4/2, “Statewide Delivery is suspended until further notice.”

All new holds have been suspended until the library opens.

The Children’s Room has recorded virtual storytimes and other fun library virtual experiences and posted them to the library’s Facebook page.

The library provides access to additional online resources during quarantine.  For a full list, click here.
