Interlibrary loan between MVLC libraries is running again, as of July 20. Please expect delays while this service gets back up to speed.
Update from the Director 7/20/2020
I know you are anxiously awaiting the library’s reopening. I am working with the Topsfield Board of Health and using guidance from the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners to develop the safest environment possible for a public library. At this point, it’s difficult to predict when we will be able to open because a large part of a safe environment depends on cleaning and disinfecting the building on a daily basis. This is an area on which I am focused because the current cleaning/disinfecting standards are falling short.
While we are closed to the public, we are in the processing of removing seating and re-arranging furniture to assist with social distancing. The staff is also following disinfecting routines for commonly used areas and electronics.
As you wait for the library to reopen, please take advantage of curbside pick-up. Call, email, or place a hold in the catalog. The library will contact you to arrange a pickup time when your items are ready. Your materials will be in a labeled bag outside the library’s entrance.
We look forward to the day we are able to welcome you back and are also anxious to return to “normal” although “normal” won’t look the same as it did four months ago.
If you have any questions, please call me at 978-887-1528 x102 or send me an email. I would be happy to talk to you.
The Library has started taking returns. Please drop off all returns to the labeled buns in front of the library building.
We will begin curbside service on June 8. For more information, see here.
Due to an abundance of caution related to COVID-19, the Topsfield Town Library will be closed to the public until further notice.
Library staff will still be available by phone (978.887.1528) or email (firstname.lastname@example.org).
