Getting a library card

All Topsfield residents ages 6 and over are eligible to get a library card.  Here’s how:

In the library:

Bring proof of address (a MA driver’s license, state-issued ID, or a piece of mail sent to your house will all work fine) to the main desk or to the children’s desk for ages 6-12.  We will have you fill out a short registration form, then give you your card.

Sign up online:

The library building is currently closed due to COVID-19, but you can still get a card!  Just fill out the form below.

Library card online registration

Once you fill out the online registration form, a librarian will create an account for you and send your login information via e-mail.  Your physical card will be mailed to your house.  Please remember that the library is staffed from 9-5 Monday-Friday, so your login information will not be available instantly.

What can I access from home with my e-card?

E-cards allow you to access Overdrive and Libby for ebooks and e-audiobooks, RBdigital for digital magazines, Kanopy for streaming movies and TV, and any of our online databases.

We are also offering curbside pickup while the library is closed.  See here for more information.
