2026 Donation Drive!
It’s time for the Friends of the Topsfield Town Library’s Annual Donation Drive! Check your mail over the upcoming couple of weeks for the Friends’ donation card (sent to every residential address in Topsfield), view the donation card here, or pick up your donation card at the library. Every donor is a friend of the library! Payment can be made online via Venmo (please include email address), or cash/check at the Topsfield Library. Please make checks payable to the Friends of the Topsfield Town Library. As a friend of the Topsfield Library, you are contributing to the library’s vital role in our community, allowing it further provide programs and services it otherwise could not fund. The Friends are a 501(c)(3) charity and your donation is fully tax deductible.
The Friends of the Topsfield Town Library are an active and dynamic group of people, young and old, open to residents and non-residents alike, committed to supporting the mission of the Topsfield Town Library.
The Friends of the Topsfield Town Library strive to stimulate the interest of the community in the needs and services of the Topsfield Town Library, promote awareness of the wonderful services and resources the Library has to offer, and to enrich the cultural life of the community by providing financial support and volunteer assistance beyond the Library’s ordinary budget for ongoing special events and activities, as well as provide the majority of the subsidized museum passes available through the Library. What do the Friends of the Library support??!!
Museum Pass Program
The Friends of the Topsfield Town Library sponsor the library’s Museum Pass program, offering discount admission to over a dozen institutions around Boston and the North Shore. During the 2025 fiscal year, the Topsfield Library distributed 778 discount museum/institutional passes, saving users over $32,000 in admission fees!
Programming and Summer Reading
The Friends contribute by funding some of the many programs and events offered by the Library. In 2025, the library offered a record amount of Programming! For example, the Friends sponsor the adult and children summer reading challenges, encouraging residents of all ages to keep reading! The Friends also sponsor take-home craft kits!
Library Equipment Upgrades
The Friends have proudly funded some major recent upgrades to our facility, including recently installed water-bottle filling stations!
Fish Tank
Along with a generous donation from a local family, the Friends support the operation and maintenance of the Fish Tank in the Children’s Room.

The Friends typically meet on the second Wednesday of each month. Please check our online calendar for the meeting schedule as it may vary in time and location. Contributing your time and ideas is a great way to get involved with the community. Attend one of the meetings and see what the Friends are all about. New ideas and faces are always welcome!
