About Constance

Constance Festo Lafond has been mostly self taught and working as an artist for over 50 years. Her paintings and photographs are in private collections all over the US & Canada. She had an undiagnosed condition called amblyopia, commonly called “lazy eye”. When nerve pathways between the brain and the eye are not properly stimulated the brain favors the other eye affecting depth perception. At the age of 30 an eye doctor asked her “would you like to see out of both eyes?” It took several weeks to adjust & she worried about a shift in her painting style. She happily realized she could enjoy both worlds & “see” using both those perspectives in creating her art. She has a studio in Beverly, MA & is on Instagram at @pilatesartist

In the past 3 years she has been collaborating with a Montreal company who manufactures women’s fashions with her artwork. Her colorful clothing can be found at retail shops and online at https://www.legaleriste.com/en/constance.festo.lafond
