Happy Holidays from the

Topsfield Town Library!
 

The library has several holiday-themed programs coming up, so we wanted to put all of the details in one place to help you to plan during this festive season!
Be sure to reserve your spot for our annual gingerbread house decorating event! 
Registration ends Wednesday, November 29th!

Event takes place on Friday, December 1, at 6:00pm and
Saturday December 2, at 10:00am, 11:30am, and 1:00pm.
 
To register, visit the Topsfield Library Children's Room, sign up for your time slot (or a take-home kit, a great gift idea!), and you can pay at the Children's Room desk by cash, check, or Venmo: 

· $15 each/$30 maximum/family (Friends members) 

· $25 each/$50 maximum/family (non-Friends members) 
Spreading Cheer with Holiday Lights on Orchard Lane!

The Topsfield Town Library is excited to host Henry Swenson for a talk on
November 29th at 5:30pm! 

This year Henry estimates there will be over 100,000 lights decorating the house on Orchard Lane. This year's display was unveiled on November 24th, and his display will be featured on The Great Christmas Light Fight
this December 19th at 9 PM, ET on ABC.

Come by to meet Henry, hear about the work that goes into this impressive display every year, and ask him some questions!

This event will be held in person, in the Topsfield Library Activity Room, no registration required.
Topsfield's Holiday on the Green event is this Saturday, December 2nd!

Be sure to stop by the library at 5:00pm to enjoy some sweet treats, cider, and hot cocoa in the Topsfield Library Activity Room! This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Topsfield Library.

Who doesn't like a bit of holiday baking?

We are so pleased to welcome Chef and Cookbook Author Erin Jeanne McDowell to our virtual stage! Erin will demonstrate how to make one of her favorite recipes and then will have some time to chat with attendees about all of our "burning" questions. We hope you can make this very special event.

Healthy comfort foods? Sign us up!

Join Chef Kelcy on Thursday, December 7th, from 7-8 pm for an evening dedicated to heartwarming culinary delights.

Discover the secrets to a lighter yet equally satisfying version of mac and cheese featuring the rich and creamy goodness of Butternut Squash. Chef Kelcy will guide you through the simple and delicious preparation, ensuring it becomes a new favorite for even the most discerning palates. But the culinary journey doesn't end there! Chef Kelcy will also unveil her go-to winter dessert: mulled wine-poached pears. Learn the art of infusing pears with the warm and aromatic essence of mulled wine, creating a decadent treat that perfectly complements the season. Don't miss this opportunity to enhance your winter menu and elevate your comfort food game. 

Recipes will be sent out the day prior to the program for anyone who would like to cook along, and re-sent after the program for any last-minute registrants.
All ages are welcome to attend!

Cozy up with a holiday romance!

The Topsfield Town Library is partnering with the Ashland Public Library and others throughout the state to bring you this great event!

With the holidays right around the corner, take a minute (or an hour) to relax and find some good holiday romance reads! John Charles will give us his "best of" list of 2023 that will have your to be read pile tipping over and your holidays spent cozying up to a good book. We'll send out a list after the session.

It's time for a holiday craft night for adults!

Please join us on Tuesday, December 19th at 5:30pm for a fun and relaxing painting session! Create a mini masterpiece for your holiday decor or an easy last minute gift. Add a ribbon to your canvas for a one-of-a-kind ornament!
No experience necessary.
